Privacy
This policy covers the Penguin Bacon Studios website and every app we publish, currently Penguindoku.
Last updated 4 September 2026
We collect nothing. Not your name, not your email address, not an advertising identifier, not a device fingerprint, not your location, not how long you played or which levels you finished. There is no account to create, because there is nothing to attach to one.
Most privacy policies say a version of this and then spend nine sections explaining the exceptions. There are no exceptions here, so the rest of this page is mostly an explanation of why we are able to say it so plainly.
The apps make no network calls
Penguindoku has no servers to talk to. Every puzzle it will ever show you is built into the download, so there is nothing to fetch and nothing to report. Turning your device to airplane mode changes nothing about how the game behaves — that is the simplest way to check this claim for yourself.
This also means we could not collect analytics even if we changed our minds, without shipping an update that you would have to install.
No third-party code
There are no advertising networks, no analytics packages, no crash reporters, no social login buttons, and no embedded trackers. Nobody else's code runs inside the app, so there is no one else's privacy policy for you to go and read.
Your progress stays on your device
Levels you have finished, your times, your mistakes and your points are stored locally, in the app's own private storage on your phone. We cannot see any of it. If you delete the app, it goes with it.
The one way that data ever leaves your device is if you choose to send it: Settings has an export that writes your progress to a file and hands it to the share sheet. Where it goes from there is entirely your decision, and it never passes through us.
Children
Penguindoku is suitable for all ages and does not collect personal information from anyone, children included. There is no advertising, no in-app purchasing, no chat, and no user-generated content.
This website
The site is a handful of static files served from Amazon CloudFront. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds nothing from anyone else — the two typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font provider, precisely so that loading the page does not tell a third party you were here.
As with any web host, our provider records standard server logs, which include the IP address making the request. We do not use those logs to build any profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.
Your rights
Rules like the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to see, correct, export and delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to show you, correct, or delete. Your in-game progress is already in your hands, and the export in Settings is there whenever you want a copy of it.
We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not have any.
If this ever changes
If a future app needed to collect something — and none is planned — this page would say so plainly, before that app shipped, with the date updated at the top. We will not quietly widen this policy and hope nobody re-reads it.
